Morningside - a favourite Neil Diamond song

Created by Julia 8 years ago
When Paul chose Morningside as the opening piece for the Celebration of his Life, we all thought it was quite sad. About a man dying alone; and we assure you Paul did not die alone.

The song though is about the legacy the old man leaves for his children; and for me it's inspirational - like Paul. The legacy the man leaves behind is a beautifully crafted table. The legacy Paul leaves us are the amazing building projects in our homes; memories of his generosity, creativity, ability to resolve any challenge; his warmth, loyalty & sincerity. All accompanied by his sense of humour, wit and singing as he crooned or whistled his way through carols in August, Elvis or Frank.

Many of you have known Paul for a long time and your messages of shock and sadness, coupled with praise for Paul's professionalism, irreplaceable building skills, positive energy and friendship have been universal. Thank you.
